Camden Mercer

Early life

Mercer was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, where she began playing volleyball at a young age. She developed through the competitive Texas club volleyball system and quickly established herself as a middle blocker due to her exceptional height and athleticism. As she progressed through youth volleyball, Mercer became known for her blocking ability and effectiveness around the net, eventually earning the opportunity to continue her career at the collegiate level.

College career — North Texas Mean Green (2021–2025)

Mercer attended the University of North Texas and competed for the North Texas Mean Green volleyball program. Throughout her collegiate career she served primarily as a middle blocker, contributing through blocking, quick offensive attacks, and front-row defense. Her size and reach made her a consistent presence at the net and helped her develop into a professional prospect. In her senior season (2025) she recorded 203 kills, 101 blocks, and a .281 hitting percentage across 31 matches.

Playing career

Following her collegiate career, Mercer signed her first professional contract with Clai Imola Volley in Italy. Competing within the Italian women's volleyball league structure, she continued her development as a middle blocker while adjusting to the demands of professional volleyball, contributing primarily through blocking, transition offense, and quick attacks through the middle.

In 19 matches with Clai Imola Volley she recorded 87 kills, 42 blocks, and 2 service aces.

Following the conclusion of the season, Mercer entered free agency.
